This 1,200-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment on the Upper West Side was stripped back to the bones. Walls were removed and relocated, plaster replaced, floors restored, and both bathrooms and the kitchen were moved and rebuilt.
Some of the trickier work included replicating 24-inch-deep plaster crown moldings in wood and rebuilding damaged Celtic-knot corners in the wood floor. The primary bath has a steam room in tumbled travertine.
